Bawumia pays courtesy call on Asantehemaa Nana Yaa Akyaa II

During the visit, Dr. Bawumia sought the blessings of Nana Yaa Akyaa II as he pursues his vision for the presidency. The presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has paid a courtesy call on the Asantehemaa, Nana Yaa Akyaa II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, on Thursday, September 17,2026. The visit was to congratulate the Asantehemaa on her enstoolment and formally pay his respects. The Asantehemaa responded to the request and received Dr. Bawumia and his delegation at the palace. Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by several leading members and supporters of the NPP during the visit.
