In a social media post on September 16, 2026, Awisi Dede disclosed details of the alleged conversations and statements made by the suspects during investigations. The four suspects are currently in custody. According to her, the first suspect, Desmond Koranteng Curiel and the fourth suspect, Jessica Hartog, were arrested at Ashale Botwe. Desmond Koranteng Curiel is described as a businessman, while Jessica Hartog is his fiancée. The fourth suspect, Jessica Hartog, reportedly stated in her caution statement that she is only the fiancée of the first suspect and does not know the nature or details of his businesses. The four suspects were arraigned before the High Court in Accra on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. They are facing two charges, Conspiracy to commit a crime, namely the exportation of narcotic drugs without a licence issued by the Minister of Health and Exportation of narcotic drugs. The charges were filed on Wednesday, and the accused persons were arraigned shortly afterwards. The four accused persons have been remanded in custody for four weeks and are expected to reappear before the court on October 13, 2026.
