‘A serious country cannot start every four years afresh’ - Asiedu Nketiah

He made the call at the fourth Bono Regional Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards held in Sunyani on September 19, 2026, on the theme: “Ethics, Integrity and Impactful Journalism – Essential Ingredients for Societal Transformation.” According to him, changes in government often resulted in existing programmes being renamed, restructured or assigned new personnel, with additional public resources sometimes spent to achieve outcomes similar to those already being pursued. “A new government comes into office, and sometimes a programme associated with the previous administration becomes difficult to continue simply because of where it came from,” Asiedu Nketiah said.
