NDC appoints Julius Kwame Anthony as Deputy Communications Director
Julius Kwame Anthony, Deputy Communications Director of the NDC
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Julius Kwame Anthony as a Deputy Communications Director of the party with immediate effect.
The appointment was approved by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) at its meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
According to the party, the appointment is part of efforts to strengthen its communications machinery, enhance public engagement and effectively articulate the policies, programmes and achievements of the NDC-led government.
The NDC said Anthony brings an understanding of communication and its strategic application to the position.
It said his appointment is expected to strengthen the party’s capacity to communicate its vision and policy direction and sustain the gains being made under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, particularly within the framework of the Reset Agenda.
The party expressed confidence that Anthony would bring dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility to the role.
It said he would work with the Communications Directorate and other relevant structures to advance the NDC’s communication objectives.
The NDC has asked media houses, including print, electronic and digital media organisations, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to take note of the appointment and accord Anthony the necessary recognition in the discharge of his official duties.
The party also said Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah and Julius Kwame Anthony are the voices of the NDC and the contact persons for matters concerning the party.
The FEC congratulated Anthony on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
The statement was signed by the NDC General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
