<p>The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has held a national training workshop to equip basic school teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to implement the new Chinese language curriculum effectively.</p>
<p>The Confucius Institute at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) initiated the training, which was held at the Conference Room of the Institute of Education.</p>
<p>Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Deputy Director of NaCCA, Dr Eric Amoah, said the partnership between NaCCA and the Confucius Institute at UCC would strengthen curriculum development and create opportunities for language learning, cultural exchange and international collaboration.</p>
<p>He said the new Chinese language curriculum would prepare Ghanaian learners for an increasingly globalised world by equipping them with relevant language and cultural skills.</p>
<p>Dr Amoah noted that the training programme would equip teachers with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to effectively deliver the curriculum.</p>
<p>“Let us move forward hand in hand to build a legacy of learning and partnership that will endure for generations,” he said.</p>
