Mahama departs for New York for 81st UN General Assembly

President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra for New York to attend the 81st United Nations General Assembly.\n\nThe assembly is being held under the theme “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations that Delivers for All.”\n\nThe Presidency says President Mahama will host two high-level side events. The first focuses on the Accra Reset and making global development work again, while the second will address reparatory justice and international cooperation for the return and restitution of cultural properties and heritage.\n\nHe is also scheduled to deliver Ghana’s statement during the General Debate, meet world leaders and business executives, engage the Ghanaian diaspora and participate in investment-focused events.\n\nSource: GhanaWeb/Ghana News Agency.
